Daniela Martinez (Regina) is a Chicago-based actor, thrilled to be joining The Village Theater for their inaugural production. Her favorite past credits include Laced with About Face Theatre and The Wizards with Concrete Content. She is a recent graduate of THE ACADEMY at Black Box Acting Studio. When she isn’t on stage, you can find her chasing the best strawberry matcha and building community. Daniela is grateful to be returning to the stage with all the love and support from her parents, Julie, Bkk, Mads, River, and Miish Bebesh. Tierra Matthews (Asha) is very proud and honored to be part of The Village Theater's inaugural production! She's had the best time connecting with this company and cast. Her most recent credits include Kitty James & Destiny's Trail to Oregon (Dead), Within A Shadow (Lex U/S), and Die Hard 4 Your Luv (Whitney). Phoebe Jacobs (Emerson) is beyond excited to make her Chicago debut with the Village Theater! Originally homegrown in Salem, OR, she received her BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in ASL from Ball State University. She is incredibly proud to be setting roots here with this fantastic team and cast. Sending love and thanks to her mama and two beautiful sisters in OR, as well as all of her friends and the wonderful community that has led her to where she is now.

Kyle Roth (JJ) is super stoked to make his Chicago debut with The Village Theater! Originally from New Orleans, studying at NOCCA’s musical theater program, he went to Ball State to pursue a BFA in acting to further his training. He would like to thank every friend, family member, teacher, and mentor for their guidance and endless support.

Understudy Cast


Teri Talo (Regina understudy) is a non-binary Boriquen/Mexican actor, singer, teaching artist, and visual artist based in Chicago. Their performance work includes Whore of Babylon (Pocket Theatrics at The Understudy), Pericles (The Forest Theatre), Virtue and Grace (1700 Lookout Series at Steppenwolf and Under St. Marks Theater in New York), and A Town Called Progress (Promethean Theatre at The Den Theatre). Teri is a teaching artist with Chicago Children’s Theatre and an Artistic Associate with Chicago Playback Theatre Ensemble. Their directing work includes it’s been ten years since everyone died. a play about final girls and assistant directing Cock by Mike Bartlett, both with Open Space Arts.


Janey Elliott (Emerson understudy) is so thrilled to be working with The Village Theater! Recent theatre credits include Amanda/Jigsaw/John Kramer in Saw: The Unofficial Parody Musical (National Tour), Ensemble/Elle Woods U/S in Legally Blonde (Surging Films and Theatrics), and Telephone Girl in Machinal (Meat Machine). Aysia Slade (Asha understudy) is a lover of stories and the art of theatre-making. She is new to Chicago and is excited to join the theatre community here. Her most recent roles include Nina in Vanya Sonia Masha and Spike (Theatre Raleigh) and The Bride in Blood Wedding (Raleigh Little Theatre). Bryce Monroe Miller (JJ understudy) is an actor and writer based in Chicago. He graduated from Ball State University in the spring of 2023 with his BFA in Acting. Bryce is excited to be a part of his first professional production in Chicago, as well as being a part of the Village Theatre’s first production.
